The Tandem Skydive is the most popular way to experience the rush of freefall with the minimum of training. After a short 20-30 minute briefing, you and your experienced instructor will don a parachute system designed for two.
Together you will board the aircraft where you will then be attached to instructor for the remainder of the skydive. After a short flight and climb to around 13,000ft, attached to the front of your instructor you will leave the aircraft and accelerate to speeds of over 120mph!! You will freefall for around 45 seconds and may carry out certain manoeuvres such as freefall turns.
At around 5,500ft the instructor will deploy the large controllable parachute and will return you safely to the ground (The parachute ride will last about 4 minutes). It is also possible to have your tandem filmed by one of our cameramen who will process the footage and compose a short DVD film of your experience along with a CD of stills photographs.
The static line course is the cheaper way to experience solo skydiving as well as having the option to jump again and with further training qualify as a BPA “A” Certificate jumper and jump solo anywhere in the world. The course lasts one day, and is conducted by one of our experienced instructors. You will be taught everything you need to know, from how the parachute flies and works to how to land the parachute safely.
You will then make your first parachute descent, using a state of the art steerable, static line operated parachute from 3,500ft. Once you have checked your parachute and following the training given on the previous day you will steer the parachute back to the landing area and make a safe and controlled landing. You will also have a radio so that our instructors can assist you with your descent. Should you enjoy your jump you can jump again and work your way towards achieving your FAI “A” Certificate. Static line courses can be run for up to 12 students per course.
Accelerated Freefall is the fast track route into Skydiving. The course consists of a day of intense day of training covering all aspects of your first skydive. Your first skydive will then be made from 13,000ft accompanied by two highly experienced instructors who will teach you during your freefall using pre learnt hand signals.
You will deploy your state of the art of steerable parachute and after checking it, you will steer it safely back to the landing area. The course will then continue with another seven levels with your instructors/instructor. As you progress through the levels you will be taught freefall manoeuvres such as tracking and freefall turns.
Following successful completion of all eight levels you will then carry out 10 consolidation jumps, practicing all you have learned. You will then be awarded your Category Eight status and are entitled to apply for your FAI “A” Certificate and jump anywhere in the world.
